Al Ghandi Automotive
Group had implemented Autoline Dealer Management System alias Kerridge (KCML)
an exclusive ERP for auto dealers. Read to find the details.
The Autoline Dealer
Management System had gone live in Al Ghandi Automotive group after six months
of precision planning and intense preparation. Since then the system, also
known as Kerridge has helped bring about a transformation in our automotive
operations, greatly improving the availability of data, increasing process
efficiency and providing a host of powerful new reports.
Al Ghandi Automotive
Group is one of the largest groups in the Middle East with around 1000
employees. The group has five showrooms and one central workshop for leading
auto brands. The new two retail parts shop at Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah serves
the need for GM original parts in the market.
Al Ghandi Auto is the
dealer for GMC and Chevrolet and the group concern National Auto is the dealer
for Fiat, Proton and SSangyong. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghandi & Sons another sister
concern is the dealer for Iveco trucks, Marvair marine a/c products, Kohler
generators and Sea Recovery for marine products. Al Ghandi Electronics is
another sister concern outside the automotive group dealing with electronic
products including Philips, Whirlpool, etc.
The Autoline
implementation project was overseen by Thomas Matthew, Group IT Manager along
with a team of consultants from PACC (Professional Application of Computer
Company) Systems from Kuwait. Integrating the data from three legacy systems
named Dealerman, Telnet and Microsoft Great Plains and converting them into a
single new platform, was particularly challenging.
The successful launch
was a testament to all those involved from the IT team as well as the many
departmental representatives who worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth
transition. Autoline now seamlessly integrates every area of the business
including showrooms, service and part operations as well as rental, used cars,
human resources and payroll.
Al Ghandi Auto was the
first UAE Automotive Dealer to implement Auto line using the Sun SPARC
Enterprise Servers. The servers are located at the state of the art data centre
in Ras Al Khor Complex, Dubai and provide continuous, reliable service
throughout our extended business hours.
The next challenge is to
integrate Autoline with a portal that enables customers to interact directly
through either the internet or the call centre. In the future, customers will
be able book service appointments and enquire about the status of their vehicle
repair using a fully automated system.
